Room Layouts & Capacities

Located on Royal Hospital Road in Chelsea, The National Army Museum has over 10,002 m2 of floor space suitable for an array of different events day and night.

The National Army Museum offers various spaces for daytime events in the Foyle Centre – this is a purpose built meeting and conference facility which is home to four flexible spaces on the lower ground floor. The spaces are available for individual hire or as a whole for full exclusive use. Featuring its own entrance on the west side of the building this is a huge advantage so delegates attending an event can be instructed to use this to avoid using the main museum entrance.

The Boardroom is a very flexible room seating up to 24 on one table or this can be removed and can accommodate up to 50 guests for a standing reception. The Boardroom is located on the second floor of the museum and is an amazing room for small gatherings, featuring panoramic views of Royal Hospital Chelsea and beyond the room is certainly one to create a memorable event for your guests.

The Temporary Exhibition Space is yet another flexible and versatile space in the museum. It is the largest single event space that the museum has to offer and can be configured in multiple ways. Accommodating up to 500 guests for a standing reception (depending on the exhibition that is in place at that time) the room is certainly a unique space for large gatherings such as Christmas Parties.

The museum maximises the use of the Atrium and Foyer during the evenings when the doors are closed to the public. The Foyer is a light and modern space directly off Royal Hospital Road and overlooks Sir John Soane’s Grade II listed stables. The space can accommodate up to 220 for a standing reception or 150 for a seated dinner. It is a perfect space for a drinks reception and can be hired in conjunction with the Atrium and Café for much larger events.

The Atrium is certainly a wow factor for any event held at the museum. The space runs across all floors from the lower ground and also from the front to the rear of the museum – it is certainly a strong central link between all of the spaces. The Atrium can be used as an individual space accommodating up to 150 for a standing reception or 90 guests for a seated dinner or used together with the Foyer and Café for larger events.

Anything is possible within the National Army Museum, the team at the venue are very flexible and with the help of in house caterer, Searcy’s any event can be brought to life very easily. Searcy’s has a unique knowledge of the museum and love to assist in every detail of organising any event. All food is prepared on site which reflects in the dedication to quality and value.

We love this venue because of it’s flexibility of spaces and being able to create an array of different events. The spaces are very versatile and the team onsite are very helpful in creating memorable events for all.
