Hold your event at London Zoo and support the global conservation of animals and their habitats. In 2026 ZSL will be 200 years old, marking two centuries of discovery, pioneering, inspiring and delighting through science and conservation. Tap into this history by booking one of the many locations that are available to you. Whichever space you choose for your event, you can be sure that you will be surrounded by an immersive setting within the 36 acres of zoological gardens. By holding your event with us you will be helping to contribute to ZSL, a charity supporting the global conservation of animals and their habitats.
The Prince Albert Suite: Elegant and refined, the Prince Albert Suite is set in a Georgian building that combines classic grandeur with contemporary comforts. Decorated in sophisticated style with a neutral palette, this room also has its own fixed bar, private entrance and toilets, masses of natural daylight and a traditionally high ceiling. With its spectacular terrace balcony overlooking Regent’s Park and the Zoo’s iconic Penguin Beach, this versatile space can be configured in many different ways, creating the perfect setting for stylish conferences, weddings, summer parties, dinners and drinks receptions.
The Mappin Pavilion: The Mappin Pavilion stands out as a distinctive and iconic venue located in central London. Nestled within the Zoo, the elegant Grade II-listed Mappin Pavilion provides a stunning view of its own exhibit featuring emus and wallabies in their natural habitat. With abundant natural light streaming through the 360-degreefloor-to ceiling windows, guests can also enjoy breathtaking views. This venue is sure to bring an extraordinary touch to your celebration.
The Huxley & Bartlett: These two adjoining function spaces are perfect for corporate meetings or educational presentations and can be booked separately or as one. Whilst the Huxley Lecture Theatre features traditional fixed tiered seating, the Bartlett Suite is more versatile and can be used either as a boardroom, extra seating for the theatre or simply a breakout area. The private foyer for the rooms boasts plenty of natural daylight and is ideal for refreshments and registration.
The Garden Room: Positioned next to the Terrace Restaurant to the side of the beautiful Georgian building, this space offers attractive views of our members’ lawn and patio and is flooded with natural daylight. Smaller in scale than our other spaces and available for daytime or evening hire, the Garden Room can accommodate between 20 and 60 guests, making it the perfect choice for more intimate occasions: training sessions, in-depth meetings, fine dining, stylish soirées, fun-packed parties and relaxed receptions.
The Council Room: Warm and inviting, this meeting room mixes the traditional with the contemporary surrounded by portraits of the founders of the Zoological Society of London, it is ideal for corporate meetings. These founders created a society and collection of animals for study at leisure, an associated museum and library. Your guests can enjoy complimentary access to the zoo before or after your event.
The Terrace Restaurant: The modern Terrace Restaurant is ZSL London Zoo’s go to reception venue, housed in the historic Regent’s Building and perfect for large-scale events. This visually stunning space boasts a soaring double-height ceiling with an impressive mezzanine floor which leads onto an upper terrace deck in the heart of Barclay Court. With its spacious and lofty interior and mezzanine floor, the Terrace Restaurant can accommodate up to 700 guests for a standing reception. This space is perfect for an evening summer party, Christmas do or good old-fashioned knees up, with the added bonus of Barclay Court at your disposal.
Animal houses
Tiny Giants (All year): Tiny Giants is the Zoo’s cutting-edge biodiversity and conservation exhibit as well as a great venue with ability to accommodate up to 200 guests for a drinks and bowl food or canapé reception. Tiny Giants house a range of bugs and small invertebrates of all shapes and sizes, and with numerous pockets of exciting creatures, and a large outdoor courtyard suitable for an acoustic band, this is a great party venue
Reptile Houses (All year): Host your next standing reception at The Secret Life of Reptiles and Amphibians, an extraordinary venue at London Zoo for up to 150 guests. Immerse your guests in eight captivating habitats featuring unique creatures like the snake-eating king cobra and Philippine Crocodile. With interactive displays, guests can explore scientific tools and learn about conservation efforts while enjoying food and drinks in a stunning natural setting. Our salamanders, crocodiles, lizards and snakes will be expecting you!
Penguin Beach (May – August only): England’s biggest penguin pool is the perfect setting for your summer evening reception for up to 300 guests. Penguin Beach recreates a South American beach landscape in the heart of London, with a stunning colony of Humboldt penguins. A cocktail and canapé reception in such scenery creates a tranquil atmosphere in the heart of the Zoo.
Tiger Territory (May – August only): Embark on a journey through an Indonesian habitat, coming face-to-face with our beautiful Sumatran tigers. This exhibit can accommodate up to 250 for a standing reception or on a summer evening. What could be more unique than that?
Land of the Lions (May – August only): This breathtaking exhibit transport visitors from the heart of London to India’s vibrant Sasan Gir providing up to 300 guests with the opportunity to be closer than ever before to mighty Asiatic lions, in truly beautiful and unique outdoor space. This exception event space is already themed to perfection, providing a colourful and lively back drop for your evening event. This one-off event space boasts its own food outlet offering bespoke catering options, bowl food, hot canapés and cocktails. In Land of the Lions, anything is possible.
