With a long history of entertaining, the House offers a charming, atmospheric and uniquely flexible setting for a variety of experiences. Unlike many museums, we can move our furniture and objects to accommodate many different set-ups. Additionally, each hire can include the whole house, so becoming your own private townhouse for the duration!

Unlike many museums, we are able to move our furniture and objects to accommodate different set-ups within our spaces. Additionally, each hire can include the whole house, so becoming your own private townhouse for the duration!

Dining and Receptions
Dating from the 1690s, the House is an evocative setting for dining experiences. From intimate client lunches and cosy candlelit dinners, to large-scale celebratory feasts and drinks receptions, we are the perfect setting for all occasions.
The House provides a variety of dining spaces including the elegant Withdrawing Room, intimate Library and light-filled Garret. With the addition of food, flowers, lighting and music we can create an experience to remember.
Meetings and Conferences
The right space can deliver the results you need from important conversations. Our 17th-century historic townhouse, situated in the heart of the City at 17 Gough Square, is a world away from the day-to-day distractions of the office giving you and your colleagues the space you need for away days and strategy planning to generate new ideas, as well as for training workshops and presentations.
The first floor Withdrawing Room is an elegant, light filled gallery room with many original features. The Withdrawing Room can accommodate a variety of different table layouts to suit your needs. Please see below for details.
The property is spread across five floors, with spaces available for breakout sessions, small groups, or confidential one-to-ones on the ground and upper floors.
Fully equipped with AV, Wi-fi and Meeting Owl (for an immersive hybrid meeting experience), our property is perfect for in-person and/or hybrid business events. For more complex set-ups you can contact one of our production suppliers who would be happy to help.
