Christmas Party Entertainment Ideas
Entertain your guests this Christmas party season…
So you may have bagged your perfect Christmas party venue (if not get in touch, we can help) but have you thought about your christmas party entertainment for the evening? Entertainment is a great way to engage your guests and keep people talking about the Christmas party for days and weeks afterwards. We here at the Collection Events have put some of our favourite entertainment ideas together to assist you making your Christmas party, the best yet!
Photo booths
Everyone loves a good photo booth so it’s worth spending the time shopping around as there are so many different photo booths on the market. We love the the photo booth scenes that can we hired complete with props. This can be a backdrop of your choice, from a winter wonderland with skis and woolly hats, to somewhere more tropical with Hawaiian shirts, it really is your choice! Pictures can be printed instantly and also emailed to you or uploaded to your Instagram account.
Drinks Reception music
Everyone loves music, and what better way to hear it than a live roving band during in your drinks reception. Roving bands are a great way to get involved with the audience and truly provide the initiate feel of a gig, they take requests which is great as guests can sing along to there favourite tune.
Party Band
If you want to get your guests on the dance floor and to keep them its important to hire a good quality band. The band should know all the top party hits and the floor fillers to get your crowd rocking the night away! The Collection team have a little black book of band ideas, just ask!
Drinks reception magicians
Close-up magicians will entertain guests and get them all involved, and will work around the room entertaining groups of people at once. This type of magician performs tricks and illusions using cards, coins, ropes and bank notes (which they will return after borrowing!) We also love the Ipad Magicians that take it to the next level of coolness.
After dinner treats
Sweet Stalls; Every party is different, as are the guests in attendance. We love to see grown ups getting tucked into a sweetie stall, which is the perfect treat after dinner. A sweet stall can also be left out for the evening for people to dip in and out of, and makes a nice take away for guests.
Cheese Tricycle; For guests that have that savoury urge after a couple of glasses of champagne what better way to satisfy your needs than with a luxury cheese Tricycle. This can be served 1 -2 hours after dinner making it the perfect naughty treat. Complete with 7 different style of cheese, all of the firm favourites of course, and lots of crackers and chutney to accompany your favourite cheddars.
Mini Donuts or Candy Floss; What’s not to love! The smell of the donuts will be enough to tempt your guests, again this option can be served in the place of desserts if you wish and gets guests on their feet after dinner.
Late night Snacks
Avoid party guests leaving early because they are hungry and serve mini fish and chips or sliders, or even bacon rolls. The options really are endless, but this is a good way to make sure that all the complimentary beer and wine is well and truly soaked up before guests are released onto the streets of London to battle their way home. We find the best time to serve these are around 10.30/11pm .
Speciality drinks for after dinner
Serving a cocktail such as an Espresso Martini or a bespoke gin cocktail is a nice idea for after dinner and can be branded to your companies colours, or your decor scheme for the event.
