Old Billingsgate

Old Billingsgate is one of the largest and most prestigious venues in London and it’s not hard to see why. Its imposing façade sits on the banks of the Thames just moments from Monument with views across the river to London Bridge and Southbank beyond. The Grade II listed Victorian building was started life in 1850 as Londons first indoor fish market, the biggest in the world at the time.

Room Layouts & Capacities

There are 3 unique event spaces at Old Billingsgate, which can be hired exclusively or individually depending on your event needs. The Grand Hall is simply awe-inspiring, with magnificent triple height ceilings, towering pillars and elegant architecture surround an expanse of space, offering a combination of style and flexibility. Suitable for up to 1,800 guests for dinner, the hall lends itself perfectly to awards dinners. During the Summer months why not take advantage of the riverside terrace, which boasts unrivalled views of Tower Bridge and can be used for drinks receptions or just as a photo opportunity, weather permitting!

Below the Grand Hall, the Vault used to be used to store ice for the fish market above but has been transformed into a subterranean event space. Its exposed brick arches offer a completely different style to the hall above and are perfect for receptions or parties of up to 900. The Well provides the perfect dance floor in which to party the night away! The Gallery at Old Billingsgate is yet another contrasting space; light, airy and open, the Gallery is popular with fashion shows. Used in conjunction with the main hall, it’s great as a catering space or for a breakout session.
