A Brand New Mediterranean Opening
The Collection Events love a new venue opening, so when we heard Arros QD has just opened its’ doors, we couldn’t wait to go along and see the venue for ourselves!
Just a few minutes walk from Oxford Circus, Arros QD brings a refreshing taste of The Med to London and these influences are clear to see throughout. The concept is overseen by three Michelin starred Valencian chef Quique Dacosta, who over the past thirty years, has built a name for himself around the world for his artistic expression in the kitchen and for being a pioneer of avant-garde cuisine.
The menu at Arros QD focuses on rice, a product that does not currently have much presence in high-end gastronomy but has always been integral to the chef’s cooking. The rest of the menu features innovative starters and a selection of meat, vegetable and fish mains that range from larger pieces cooked over fire or charcoal, to dishes using more vanguard techniques and elaborations. All dishes celebrate the premium products of the British larder.
On the ground floor sits the main Restaurant, complete with an open kitchen for those wanting to be up close to the action, along with a Chefs table seating up to 12 guests. Head upstairs via an impressive statement staircase (you can’t miss the chandelier on the way up!) and you will be welcomed to the Cocktail Bar, serving an array of drinks inspired by various cities across the Med, designed to evoke memories of past travels through the combination of flavours, for example, the lavender in the French-themed cocktails. The first floor has a separate area for pre-dinner drinks and a dining space that can host up to 56 guests seated. For larger groups, the entire Restaurant can be hired for up to 200 guests standing.
