Introducing The Collection Events story
What’s the history?
The Collection is an agency launched within the WSH family. You may not have heard of WSH as a business but you’ll know the businesses within the group – Benugo, BaxterStorey, Clerkenwell Green, HIX restaurants, to name a few. The Collection Events has been designed to act as a hub for the incredible venues within the group. We have around 150 amazing spaces and it’s growing every month.
Due to the number of businesses within WSH the diversity of the venues is huge. We have castles in Scotland, conference venues in Oxford and restaurants in London. And that’s just a few – we have so many options and lots of hidden gems. We really do believe that we have a venue for every event.
Imagine having venues within your portfolio that you know most people won’t have heard about? It’s so exciting for us to have these spaces up our sleeves. We like to think we know most places out there for events, years of experience have taken us to all the great event spaces. However, when we were initially looking at our portfolio we were surprised that we had never heard of many of the options hence why we just had to launch!
Why have you set up?
We’re lucky to have so many venues and we wanted to share them with the world! Lots of the spaces we work within are relatively unknown, so we feel as if we are introducing hidden gems to the events industry. We are one central agency that can provide information on all our venues and those outside the group. Basically, in just one phone call, it’s like you’ve contacted 1000’s of spaces as we do the work for you.
How does it work?
We’re a free venue finding service. We claim commission from the venues to make our money so that we don’t need to charge you anything for our time. It’s simple – give us your brief and we’ll send you venues we think would work well for you. We will then arrange site visits and negotiate on your behalf. Once you’ve decided to book a venue we work on the contracts and you then sign directly.
What’s the benefit of booking with The Collection?
We have a great relationship with our venues and those outside of our group too, so we can often negotiate great rates for you. We can also advise on how best to use the space, what works well and what doesn’t to ensure you have the best event possible. The more we get to know you as an individual or business, the better. That way we can second guess, work on your full event programme and really deliver time and time again.
In addition, we also have a member’s club – TLC – The Loyalty Collection. This is a hub of our top bookers and offers access to unique and exciting experiences, events and prizes.
Can you help me plan my event?
We don’t plan events, we’re the venue experts and finding the perfect spaces for our clients keeps us very busy. We have partners that we work closely with that we can recommend to you to help you plan. They can organise styling, teambuilding, production and entertainment. We have a great team and we’re all passionate about the wonderful world of events. We love to explore and find the best venues out there to host exciting events. We also adore that we work on a variety of different events so no two days are the same. How is best to send my enquiry?
We always say that it’s good to talk – that way we get a sense of what you’re like, what would work well and therefore the right venues to send you. If you have a written brief, or perhaps your event is a secret, so you can’t talk in the office, send us an email.
What type of events do you specialise in?
We have a huge variety of venues so really the answer is ‘everything’! We work on conferences, dinners, drinks receptions, networking events, weddings, birthdays, away days, offsites, teambuilding events, Christmas parties, summer parties…the list goes on!
