Let’s Talk Hybrid

Now that we have the green light for conferences and meetings to take place again from the 1st October, we are seeing lots of changes as to how we book, sell and execute events. After speaking to lots of our clients and industry friends, we have all agreed the hottest subject on everyone’s mind is hybrid events. The wonderful world of hybrid events opens up so many more opportunities for the events world so here is a breakdown of what we know and how we can help you with your next event!

What is a Hybrid Event?

A hybrid event is a combination of a ‘live’ in-person event with a ‘virtual’ online component, it is so much more than just setting up a camera and live streaming an event. A hybrid event imitates the live event experience to the virtual world, matching the event experience from a remote space. This means your virtual audience can participate in real time, from wherever they are in the world, alongside guests attending in person – How amazing!

Benefits of hosting a Hybrid Event.

Due to the COVID – 19 Pandemic, it is becoming increasingly difficult to host and attend events. With venue capacities being reduced to adhere to social distancing restrictions, travel bans in place and many self-isolating, it is important that we start being creative with our events. A hybrid event is a great way to remove and overcome these complications, whilst expanding your audience.

Naturally when guests are not able to attend an event in-person, this can reduce costs dramatically. Without, catering, travel and large capacity venue fees to account for, hybrid events can be very cost effective. However, we do advise on budgeting for high quality production and tech crew.

We all know how valuable data is when curating and executing an event. A hybrid event allows you to monitor event engagement with ease. You can customise your guests’ experience, based on their preference.

One of the most important aspects of an event, in our opinion, is keeping it sustainable. We only get one planet, so we should all be doing our part to take care of it. Hybrid events will play a major role in preserving the environment. Hosting part of your event virtually will reduce food waste, reduce unsustainable travel and reduce our carbon footprint, all whilst maintaining the quality of event interactions.
