Our Exclusive 5 star hotel & venue tour…
The Collection Events team had the opportunity to visit three beautiful Exclusive Hotels in December.
These hotels were Lainston House in Hampshire, Fanhams Hall in Ware and an overnight stay at the stunning PennyHill Park in Surrey. We got to explore all of the event spaces and found that they are all brilliant for meetings, conferences, and gala dinners as well as weddings!
Exclusive Hotels and Venues is a collection of four luxury hotels and two country house venues, together with a championship golf club, two spas, a cookery school and a classic English pub. All located in the South of England, in delightfully tranquil and rural locations. The high end hotel and venue group offer award-winning restaurants, extensive conference and meeting facilities ad spectacular surroundings for your dream wedding and the Collection had the pleasure in seeing the stunning venues in action.
Just a few minutes drive from Winchester train station, and just a 50 minute train journey from London Waterloo, this really is a great escape to the country. This hotel really has the wow factor, with it’s 50 boutique bedrooms all individually decorated to the highest standard. This hotel has an onsite cookery school, a falconry and lots of outside space. Making this hotel a brilliant choice for a company off sites or away days. Also, the hotel feels incredibly homely and very well maintained, we can not wait to return.
Fanhams Hall
Fanhams is a quirky little hotel located just a five minutes drive from Ware Station and we really loved the long room with its dark wood panelling and domed shaped ceiling. This room is just perfect for weddings and overlooks the stunning gardens. On the other side of the hotel is a modern conference space that has lots of natural daylight and can accommodate up to 120 guests in theatre style.
This is one hotel that really does have so many sides to it. We loved seeing all of the stunning event spaces – the largest being able to accommodate up to 220 for a dinner. With 124 bedrooms and suites this hotel is perfect for large and small meetings. The bedrooms are absolutely stunning and if you are looking to impress your guests PennyHill will not disappoint. We enjoyed a soak in the outside heated pool, in December! The spa is one of the best we have ever been to and we found it hard to actually leave.
