De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms

The De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms is located on Great Queen Street, just a short walk from both Covent Garden and Holborn in the West End of London. The Grade II-listed venue has a history dating back to 1775 and has long been an important events venue, having been home to the original Freemasons’ Tavern.

Room Layouts & Capacities

The De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms is a stunning Art Deco venue that compromises 37 exceptional spaces for a wide range of conferences, exhibitions, meetings, and training activities. Offering ornate arched ceilings, beautiful wood panelling and dramatic chandeliers, the Grand Hall creates an impressive event space for up to 750 guests theatre-style and 1,500 guests for a drinks reception.

The venue also works well for smaller events, boasting a number of rooms with original features and oak-panelling, and a suite of modern training rooms is also available. The conference suites also benefit from tea and coffee-making facilities and grab-and-go drinks fridges making it the perfect venue for your guests. Up on the 5th floor is an exclusive outdoor roof terrace with views of the city, which is available for summer parties and drinks receptions for around 80 guests standing.

We personally love the Grand Hall, pictures don’t do this space justice. The high ceilings and historic features take you back in time to the glory days of this venue, conjuring images of the grand balls that were held here in centuries past.
