Cool and Quirky Venues to Hire

Are you searching high and low for your next cool and quirky venue to hire for your next event? We all have different ideas of what “cool” looks like, but The Collection Events team have put together some of our clients’ favourite picks when it comes to some of the more unique spaces available to hire in London.

London Transport Museum

If you’re hosting events and need a talking point, the London Transport Museum has character in bucket loads, with the magnificent building dating back to the Fifties. The two-floor gallery space showcases the stunning Grade II-listed structure and creates an ornate backdrop for the museum’s contemporary and interactive galleries.

The Postal Museum

For more than 100 years, the inner workings of the mail system were hidden from view.  Now you have the chance to experience the secret space for yourself – the ambition, dedication and ingenuity that makes The Postal Museum truly unique.

Restaurant Ours

Spanning two levels, this Knightsbridge restaurant is an impressive space that works brilliantly for product launches, dinners and drinks receptions. With a simple yet stand-out vibe, Restaurant Ours brings the outside in to create an unexpected space hidden in the heart of the city. Unpretentious, effortless and elegant with a nod to retro chic.

Mac & Wild

Mac & Wild is a cool and quirky dining experience which is great for intimate dinners with a difference – each table has their own waiter for the evening. Or try the other private event space which is inspired by cosy shooting lodges, reminiscent of country weekends in the Scottish Highlands. The wood-panelled room boasts moody lighting and is located underneath the main restaurant, setting the scene for intimate dinners. After dinner guests can wander down to the shooting range and try their hand on the virtual shooting experience.

Ivy Asia

If it’s more of a private dining experience you are looking for, head to Ivy Asia St Pauls. Upstairs, the entire floor will be illuminated with green, semi-precious stone, set against a striking antique gold mirrored bar, luxurious Asian fabrics, brass-topped tables and large windows overlooking one of London’s most iconic and beautiful sites, St Paul’s Cathedral. Artwork will pay homage to a series of pan-Asian influences including flora, fauna and mythology, whilst a collection of limited-edition, antique 12ft samurai warriors look on. The Edo Room is the private dining space and suitable for 28 guests.

Blame Gloria

If you’re looking for more of an Instagrammable venue to hire for your next event then why not head to Covent Garden’s coolest cocktail bar and hot spot Blame Gloria. You can hire the venue exclusively for 300 guests or take a semi-private area for up to 70 people.

Cahoots Ticket Hall & Control Room

This brand-new addition to Kingly Court is a speakeasy cocktail bar kitted out like a 1920s train station. Cahoots is the latest addition to Inception Group’s offering of cocktail bars in the heart of the West End. Great for private hires for up to 150 guests or hire a semi-private area for up to 60 people.

Tropicana Beach Club

The rum-soaked Tropicana Beach Club boasts a ‘lagoon pool’ style dance floor surrounded by VIP beach cabanas, party booths and vibrant decorations, including over 500 tropical birds and a jungle of exotic flowers, enabling guests to feel as though they’ve completely escaped the city.
