The Grand Connaught Rooms located on Great Queen Street, is only a short walk from both Covent Garden and Holborn in the West End of London. The Grade II* listed De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms is a stunning venue that has a history dating back to 1775, the building has long been an important event venue, and was once home to the original Freemasons’ Tavern.

Room Layouts & Capacities

The Grand Connaught Rooms is a stunning art-deco venue that compromises of 37 exceptional spaces for a wide range of conferences, exhibitions, meetings, and training. Arched ornate ceilings, beautiful wood-panelling and dramatic chandeliers, the Grand Hall creates an impressive event space for up to 750 guest’s theatre style and 1,500 guests for a drink’s reception.

The venue also works very well for smaller events, there are a number of rooms, with original features and oak-panelling, whilst a suite of modern training rooms is also available. The conference suites also benefit from tea and coffee making facilities and grab and go drinks fridges making it the perfect venue for your guests. Up on the 5th floor is an exclusive outdoor roof terrace, with views of the city, it is available for summer parties and drinks receptions, perfect for around 80 guests standing.

We personally love the Grand Hall, pictures don’t do this space justice. The high ceilings and historic features take you back in time to the glory days of this venue; I like to imagine the grand balls that were held here in the olden times.
